Default The Type R roar w/forged pistons? ...silly question!

All the R owners will know what I'm talking about but..

Type R's have a very distinctive engine (not talking about the exhaust note) more about the behind the firewall, hollow sounding roar that no car seems to have. Is this because of the aluminum block? Anyone have any insight to this?

the reason why I ask is because I have just had the pistons swapped out to forged pistons and I am still a week away from the first startup since the swap. Will my Type R roar still be there or will it sound different?

I know its a silly question ..but very curious!

forged piston will make the motor louder
honda pistons have a coating on them that the forged ones don't
The coating has little to do with the sound.
You will definitely hear the pistons.

God, who cares man. Just enjoy and drive the damn car.

This madness has got to stop. It cracks me up how alot of R owners act as if they are the top of the line of the Honda/Acura family, but then stupid questions like this come out of the wood work.

Amazing

That's because we ARE at the top of the Honda/Acura family...we just like to let the NSX and S2000 guys believe otherwise

And as for your other point, I do enjoy my car and everything about it which is exactly the point of my post...I like that roar, and I hope it doesn't go away when I swap the pistons..
