It could have happened if you were running really rich. Did you put in any octane boosters?

no, no octane boosters... also i noticed a dramatic consumption of fuel lately.... is that a characteristic of a bad cat and sensor?

I like to know too, my gsr recently is eating up gas mileage too. I got 100miles and it's half tank already and I done a full-tune up not too long ago. Havn't got any check engine light either.

If you fix your problem, let me know cuz gas prices is killer now especially at $2.42 for premium unlead...

a lot of states don't have emissions testing in rural counties.. missouri is one of them.. if you live around STL or KC you do though..
