Default what cheap/light 15x7 wheels are available for the R?

i'm looking for cheap/light 15x7 wheels for street/track use on my stock R - ie kosei k1. i want wheels that are +45ish (close to oem fitmet) and readily available (no 4 month jdm wait times). tire of choice 205/50 azenis. please list known wheels, places to buy, and pricing.

- kosei k1 +45, tirerack, $129/wheel (not available)
- stern aguzze +43, mach iii, $100/wheel
?

the 15x7 38+ kosei are a decent backup, but i don't want this much difference with stock 50+ offset.

anybody know if rota will start producing their wheels in 15x7?

the don't list a 5x144.3 wheel being available. if there were, the price looks to be $119.

I have a direct email from Kim @ Rota. ETA looks like March 2003 for 15x7 Slipstreams.

You definitely don't want a 50 offset on a 7" wide wheel.

BTW - the lower the offset, the wider the stance of the vehicle.

the 15x7 38+ kosei are a decent backup, but i don't want this much difference with stock 50+ offset.

Yeah, but the bigger the difference in the scrub radius....

Wow great topic. I was actually gonna start one of these soon...just haven't had much time lately.

I need something to fill in my azenis a bit better, a 15x7 would be perfect. After they sould out of the 43 offset of the k1, however, I opted to wait until next year for some volks.

But this thread may bring me some new ideas

Why wouldnt you want a 7" wheel with a 50 offset? arent the mugen R specific mf8's +50 or am I making things up.....I believe they have them in +43 also...

I realize he said he wanted 15" rims, i am just wondering why it was said that one would not want 7" wide wheels with a +50 offset. Is it because of the width of the Azenis?

I got mine from edgeracing ( I don't have an ITR)

Ask for MAX, he's the guy I dealt with. Mounted and balanced my Azenis for free

I know team dynamics makes the wheels in ITR bolt pattern.

I have 15x7 with 40mm offset with 205/50/15 Azenis....no rubbing here....but very close to the suspension arms

HAHA, thats a contradiction! First of all, nothing decent for the Type R is cheap. Next, you get what you pay for, I dont know about you, but I wouldn't want to be rollin on a set of cheap $400 rims. If your looking for the type R version of *dookies*(blackouts), get a set of CRV steelies.
