The last turbo magazine had a small, very brief article regarding a k20a being sucessfully swapped into an ek civic. Im sure every is aware of it and its not new news, but i have been searching to find any info on the swap and came up empty handed. Ive tried calling area 51 Fabrications and have gotten "sorry this number has been disconnected". Ive even tried emailing them and gotten nothing in return. Im wondering if anyone here knows if this swap kit is going to be made available to the public like the article said? Im really looking into this swap and id like to know a little info, but im getting frustrated not being able to find anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Area 51 did this swap. Try searching google for info on it or look for their website

 

it required cutting. cutting of the chassis i believe.

not to sound like a d*ck... But i wouldnt have posted in my original thread that i tried calling them, and emailing them to no avail if they had info on their site. I also searched online, found nothing useful, im not a n00b. I wouldnt have posted here if I found the answers i was asking for. Where did you head that they had to cut to do cutting, when i read the article it said that witht he kit its basically a bolt up job...

Not trying to sound like an a-hole, just getting frustrated that i cant find the info im looking for and i cant evenm contact freaking area 51

for as much as they say it costs it better be good for 13's with bolt ons!

 

i heard area 51 fab is moving to a different location so i think there gonna be away from the their phones and computers for a little while..... i dunno if that helps you any but give it a week and try calling them back or look at their site for more details later on.
