(Pics)...EF8 with Spoon Calipers/5 lug conversion... wheels for caliper clearance???

I install the Spoon 4 pot calipers and ITR 5 lug conversion...if you know the wheels with caliper clearance (i prefer non use the spacers), please post your oppinion.

...usdm itr rims (15x6) will clear without spacers.
Aftermarket, there are a few... I think kosei k1 come to mind... te37's might clear in the correct offset of 15x7.5 or 15x8... and there's a slim chance that the mf10's will clear in the 15x7 size as well... cp035's in 15x7.5 might fit too... Otherwise, you'll have to go with a 16" rim... mugen and spoon make some nice 16's that'll clear for sure.

wow...impressive.
as for your question go to some of the individual sites and look at the specs and just keep asking around......but i love what you have done so far
Here is a thread that GiFF started a while ago, regarding 15" wheel sizes that would fit over the Spoon brakes without spacers:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=324343
[15x7.5] SSR Competition (+43 offset)
[15x7] Buddy Club P1 QF (+42 offset)
[15x7] Real Racing R2 (+45 offset)
[15x6] stock ITR wheels (+50 offset)
[15x7] Kosei K1 (+38 offset) {these fit, thanks to ryanr}
[15x7] 5zigen FN-01R (+42 offset) {i saw these on a car in HK that fit}
*te37 15x7 +35 should fit because te37 15x7 +43 offset needed 4mm spacer.*

I wonder if base model Prelude wheels will clear Spoon calipers.

If 16" and 17" are your options, then there would be PLENTY of wheels available to fit over the Spoons without spacers. But one reason why Spoon made their calipers the way they are is that 15" rims can be used.

If you mount the 5 lug conversion, added 5 mm (ITR hub), offset deplaced 5 mm = STOCK +50
5 LUG CONVERSION +55.....
If you mount the spacers for caliper clearance (8, 9, 10 mm.) you are +63, +64, +65 offset.
I think that reasonably it is necessary to find a rim that does not need to mount spacer, not to increase offset, since it is difficult to find rims with more than +50 offset.

In Europe there are no rims for 5x114,3.
Advan, Rays, Volks... are not commercialized.
Everything is necessary to buy in Japan.

imho, the te37's should clear with a +45 or higher offset in 15x7+...
Here's a quick diagram of how offset works:

Nice!!! Basically anything that clears the stock ITR caliper will clear the Spoon caliper, that's how they are designed (that's what I thought). So, you can start with the stock Euro ITR rim...(Not sure anymore)
Edit: Hmmm, now some people say not all rims that clears the stock ITR caliper will clear the Spoon caliper. I'm not sure anymore. Maybe the JDM/Euro ITR suspension is different too compared to the USDM suspension..
Looks like a non JDM header with non 2.5" header flange you've got there.....

It is not easy to know if a wheel is going to work in this sense and for that reason I have asked several manufacturers of wheels that facilitate to me the measures of caliper clearance of some of their models... but I have so far not received answer.
So far I have not been able to find in Spain ITR wheels, since it was never commercialized here.

Beautifully set up EF8, I applaud your work, here's two
's for you!
I like this... http://www.casamarcelo.net/crx/
Nice pics too, best of luck with your wheel search!
I would bet the Volk CE28N will fit even in a 15x7 size...
try and IM or email
Dave from http://www.RandDmotordsports.com
or
Mike M at http://www.ipsracing.com
because they both have customers that installed Spoon calipers, so they must have a few wheel options they have all tried and know about.
