shorter shocks for lower cars?
ive got a crx sittin on skunk2 coils all the way down and want some shocks that wont blow so quick. somebody said some kind of koni are shorter and wont blow as fast , does anyone know any shorter struts??
Several companies make them, but shorter shocks are expensive.
Shorter Koni's are great but cost about $300 each.
The Progress Group makes shocks that are 20mm shorter. I think they go for $1200
H&R offers a "low down" coil over kit for a 3-4" drop but costs about $1300
I believe Bilstein will do shorter shocks as well.
Here's one thing you could do. Go to http://www.ground-control.com. They have a new raised upper shock mount that gives back an extra 3/4" of travel. This is the like shortening your shock 3/4".
They go for $75 a pair.

Koni SP3's are 20mm shorter than stock and they are very reasonably priced. I like the Groundcontrol idea too, anyone have experience with it? I wonder how well it works...
SP3 shocks are NOT shorter. Only the shaft is short. This will do nothing to increase shock travel. Check with Neuspeed and they will verify this as well.
As for the GC shock mount, I have them in the front and they work great.
