Default 94 - 97 front end

I've seen pics of the 94 - 97 fronts with the thin line piece that goes through the grill or open part has been removed. How do you do that and does it look good with a type r lip? Anyone got close up pictures of it or know how to remove it?

best way is to take it to a bodyshop. they can remove it and fill the holes on the insides of the grill.

I should have some pics of my 97 integra with the ITR lip in a couple days, i cut out all the grill completely to show off my intercooler. i was surprised it came out looking as good as it does.

i got mine from comptech, it was about $220. well worth it IMO, easy to install and its flexable so if you hit it agenst anything it wont break.

man i wish my digi camera wasnt broken. I got a black 94 ls and i sawed out the middle bar and it looks Very nice. I just sanded the remaing plastic burr and used touch up paint on where i cut. You cant notice it unless u stick ur face rght next to it and look. Its very easy to do i just got bored in the garage one night and went at it.

it wasn't easy. i had to remove the bumper and cut around the whole mouth. at the ends of the bar, use plastic filler to cove the holes and sand them smother. then you can choose to have a body shop to paint the whole bumper or use touch-up paint.

it took me 2 days to finish the project. aprox. 12hrs.

I put a aluminum grill in there and painted it white, later i changed it to black. I think i should left it silver.

That looks awesome! I have a silver 95 teg and was actually planning on doing something similar. Rather than cutting out the crossbar, do you guys think it would look weird just having the centergrill unpainted in black (like the EG fronts)?

I don't think that would look good. I just can't picture it in my head. But if you want to do it more power to you.

Well what I was thinking of doing was..having the centergrill unpainted black without cutting the crossbar, then putting on a black Grillcraft on top. I have yet to see it done so I don't know how it would look, but was trying to get opinions before doing it.

I wouldnt do it unless you had something to fill in the gap like an intercooler. I am not a fan of grillcraft so to me thats out of the question. I think the 98-01 front end looks better but you will have to replace the bumper and the headlights. JMO
