Default Anybody running Kirks Rollbar?

Chime in.

Want to know if you removed your back seats or not? I know the rollbar is designed to keep the appearance of back seats. How much noisier will it be with the seats pulled out?

Thanks

It won't be much noiser. I wouldn't worry about it. I also would recommend just not having seats in there anyway since it won't be too safe for the passengers.

I'll be running that Kirk bar soon, and the seats will make a nice place to put groceries and luggage.

Back seats are gone...along with most of the other interior parts (including carpet and headliner). It's loud as fawk, but I obviously can't attribute it all to the rear seats being gone. Also, Kirk's "old" design was made to clear the top of the rear seats and the "new" design is not. Structurally speaking, the new design is much better. They will still make both I believe, but I wouldn't recommend the "old" design since 1) it isn't safe for passengers to be sitting back there if the car is being street driven and 2) it probably wouldn't be as effective as the "new" design if the car ever ended up upside down.

Hehe... I like how you have the stripped interior and are still lugging around the spare

Very cool setup though

Shiiiiiiiiit, I don't really feel like standing on the side of the road and waiting for a tow truck to show up if I ever get a flat tire.

Put the seats down and that should give you an idea of how much louder it will be with out the seats. I have a T1R exhaust and it is quite a bit louder with just the seats down.

I should of thought about folding the back seats. Anyhow, I dont plan on having ANY passenger in the back regardless if the bar was designed for keeping or removing the back seat. Its just for appearance. :thumbup

Thanks for the feedback.

My Azenis alone bump up the sound quite noticebly with no rear seats and stripped interior.

CWESTINDC2, in order to remove the headliner like the thread creator did, it would be necessary to remove the side/rear panels.

Someone make me a deal on the old style Kirk bar, and I'll get Kirk's Deluxe cage for mine!

I have it for EG. You can still keep the backseats installed and the rear panels do hot need modified. I wouldn`t let anybody sit back there

Drivers seat will slide all the way back on the sliders and still get a fair angle reclined (more than enough for me and I don't drive stright up and down..) but depenbding I guess you might have to move it up a little to recline enough.. it really depends on where the cage is installed (there's room to move it forward, etc) and how much you want the seat to recline. Just in case, I'd suggest finding someone with the bar first.
