Default Performance Friction Carbon Metallic Brake Pads

If you guys remember my old thread last week I just did a brake system upgrade that was suppose to consist of Hawk HPS pads on top of everything else. Well, when I was almost done doing everything else we figured out the guy I ordered the pads from gave me the wrong ones which in desperation made me buy some Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads from a 24 hr Auto Zone. I asked the guy at the counter for the best ones they have and he gave them to me for like 90 bucks for the front and rear. I was first dissappointed with them because they turned my rotors kinda blackish and was thinking it was because they were cheap Auto Zone crap untill I got to test them out at the autox on Sunday. I'm not sure if it's the pads or the lines, but my brakes are like 5734590734847 times better than they used to be. They seem to work A LOT better now that they are broken in if thats possible? Well, I was reading my SCC magazine and noticed on page 119 "2002 NISMO Festival of Speed" that the car had a familiar looking sticker on the badassss carbon fiber sideskirt. It was the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic logo thats on the box my pads came in. So now I'm thinking they aren't so bad if edurance racers use them? Any other ITR's have experience with them? I did a search and found 1 thread that I got confused reading because they talked about how it worked well on BMW's after they are warmed up and blah blah. They seem to work fine in 20 degree ice weather for me.

I have used those for a long time for daily driving. I always liked them, except when they get kind of low they get really hot and warp rotors. A bunch of people ues them for racing though when I worked at Bobby Archer's.

If I had the money to spend I would get Brake Man #3's, I love 'em.

Are they the "Z" compound (street/track)? I ran with these on the street and on the track in a CRX SI and my ITR for a while. Never had any issues. Superb brake pads.

Whoa, back from the dead.

What's sweeking? If you meant squeaking, no they don't. Just make sure you use that blue stuff at auto-zone on the pads when you install.

lol, yes I meant to say "squeaking"
Sorry for bringing it back, but when I searched for "carbon metallic" this was the only thread that came up.
