What's the difference in US B16 and JDM B16? Comments on swapping it in '87 Civic Si.

Youd want to use the JDM B16a1 in your '87. Its OBD0 and you can get the mounts, linkage, axles and one-wire conversion all from HASport. Hope that somewhat answers your question.

I not a big 87 style fan, but goddamn they are fast as a ***** with a b16 swap. Think about it-pull up to a light with a nasty, rusty, oldskool 87 with a b-swap and take off.....jaws would drop-ultimate sleeper--but extremely ugly IMO.

It's gonna get costly, especially with all HAsport stuff. You might want to look into
a JDM ZC swap. 130hp. That will fly aswell, plus you could always plan for a turbo
later.

I had a 87 si with a 2.1L Ls/Vtec fully built motor street car. Yes it was fast and a sleeper. haha
