jdm front end conversion owners in bayarea
Hey whats up. I live in SAC and had a shop here in town throw mine on. It is a very reputable shop here in south SAC known previously as PROTRANS, but has expanded to LUXOR. Mike, the owner, is a great guy and he does a GREAT JOB.
yea, some stuff in my garage fell on the front end. So I'm just going to get it redone. where is this automax? and do you have the phone number to the place in sac?

I would seriously think twice about AutoMax.
Go there at lunch time and you will find workers sleeping in your car or sitting on your trunk eating Pho.
And I am not kidding.
Otherwise, the work that they do is fair at best, their paint jobs chip easy and they really suck at masking and putting **** back together right.
One of my buddies got his 91 SI repainted there. We went to thunder hill for an HPDE and used the paint safe blue masking tape for numbers on his door.
The ******* paint came of with the tape. Big ******* chunks of it.
Another buddy got his car painted there a few times... paint chips off the front of his car as big as corn flakes.

i personalyl woudl recommend a body shop in sunnyvale called "da-les" but I don't knwo that they have done a conversion, but their work is good and guranteed free from defect for about 5 years.
go to Almaden Valley Collusion. I had mine done there and all of bozz performance's cars are done there too, including the gold wide body supra.
Me and Pdcdragon did it ourselves (minus the welding) including the wiring... actually pdcdragon did the wiring (so if you guys have questions PM him. I ended up saving ~ 500-800 dollars on the install by doing it ourselves... ******* 20/20 wanted somewhere around a thousand JUST for the install WITHOUT paint.
yea, I was asking this because I went to a body shop around here where I live. They wanted to charge me $2,935.00 to repaint, reinstall, and fix a small dent on the right fender. But the thing is, I am including the radiator support, carbon fiber hood, and carbon fiber lip. So they only have to repaint the fenders and the bumper, and they're still asking $3,000.00 dollars.
