Hey whats up. I live in SAC and had a shop here in town throw mine on. It is a very reputable shop here in south SAC known previously as PROTRANS, but has expanded to LUXOR. Mike, the owner, is a great guy and he does a GREAT JOB.

I would seriously think twice about AutoMax.

Go there at lunch time and you will find workers sleeping in your car or sitting on your trunk eating Pho.

And I am not kidding.

Otherwise, the work that they do is fair at best, their paint jobs chip easy and they really suck at masking and putting **** back together right.

One of my buddies got his 91 SI repainted there. We went to thunder hill for an HPDE and used the paint safe blue masking tape for numbers on his door.

The ******* paint came of with the tape. Big ******* chunks of it.

Another buddy got his car painted there a few times... paint chips off the front of his car as big as corn flakes.

Just find a reputable body shop and make sure you give him instructions if they are rookies.

Me and Pdcdragon did it ourselves (minus the welding) including the wiring... actually pdcdragon did the wiring (so if you guys have questions PM him. I ended up saving ~ 500-800 dollars on the install by doing it ourselves... ******* 20/20 wanted somewhere around a thousand JUST for the install WITHOUT paint.

yea, I was asking this because I went to a body shop around here where I live. They wanted to charge me $2,935.00 to repaint, reinstall, and fix a small dent on the right fender. But the thing is, I am including the radiator support, carbon fiber hood, and carbon fiber lip. So they only have to repaint the fenders and the bumper, and they're still asking $3,000.00 dollars.

Did they offer some courtesy lube with that deal?
