NASA tech "quick release" net requirement
uncleben's post asking about window nets got me doing a bit of searching about ways of satisfying NASA's tech rule about the net being a "quick release" system.
does a simple spring loaded top bar constitute a quick release where you just pull one end back out of the mounting tab and release which frees the other spring loaded end? or does it require the use of a latch like a gm seatbelt buckle or mechanical latch?

I would certainly think that just about any spring-loaded, one-second-to-remove net setup is fine. I think this is going to be one of those "safety grey areas" like we've talked about elsewhere. Seat mounts and "mandrel bent" cage tubing come to mind.
