I'm ordering a ES Oval soon, can't wait. But my problem lies in the piping. I'm switching to 2.5" stainless steel manderal bent piping w/ no resonator and a high flow cat. I've still got my DX engine in there but I'm swapping a B16A2 soon.

What I want to know is if this set up will create any farting or buzzing from the muffler?

 

not having a resonator will make it raspy, as will the high flow cat.

 

If you don't want the farting, the resonator is a good way to stop that.

 

Yea, I say get an aftermarked resonator for like 15 dollars. You'll get great sound and it dosn't cost alot of money.

 

get a 4" round muffler in place of the resonator me thinks that sticking with a 2 1/4 piping would be better suit d ..even with the swap

Resonator, and dont worry about losing hp, i dont think itll lower the tq/hp.

 

Well I now the muffler shop so I get pretty good deals. I'll try the no resonator thing and if it sounds like **** I'll just get one put in.
