Default WHATS THE BEST ALARM SYSTEM MONEY CAN BUY!!

What's the best alarm system that I can buy for a '01 integra. The factory alarm. I know alarms aren't the best deterrents, but I just want one for the peace of mind.

all alrms are pretty much the same. meaning they all serve the same function. make noise and lock and unlock doors haha. but recomend u 2 get a shop with a good name to put one in. a good install you know. that really counts. try viper, code, alpine and so on. I've owned many alarms and they all pretty much served the same purpose.

yeah I agree. I have $300 Clifford on my GSR and I just installed a $35 generic brand alarm from ebay and they work the same. Make noise, unlock doors, kill ignition, deter with the LED, etc.
The generic alarm however, has cheesier looking remote. But actually, its range in distance is farther than the Clifford. But that has to do with the positioning of the main unit also.

...actually it has to do with the placing of the antenna and certain brands are known for their range like avital & crimestopper. Clifford is ...okay....

the best alarm you can buy is the avantguard 4. starter kill, remote fuel cutoff, self powered alarm, prox sensor, i added a omnisensor to mine since they dont come with them, window roll up built in, tilt sensor, remote start (stick shift compatible)....basically its got everything. Its overpriced big time, i think they start at $800 installed and up, depending on how much they hook up. I got mine on a clifford employee purchase brand new for $247. If youre not getting a deal on an alarm, you might as well just go with a basic crimestopper or somethin though.

Thanks for all your help guys. I went out and got a Viper alarm installed.
It's the viper 800 system and it works pretty well. The only thing that gets me mad is that they messed up some parts of my car when installing it. I'm actually nitpicking but still it isn't exactly the same as before.
