i want to make my car lighter, will this be a good thing to take off or a bad thing?

 

If you want to make your car lighter... first gut it, take out what you don't need or what you can live without like... carpet, rear seat, interior panels, headliner, A/C (if you can live without it) firewall mat, scrap out the tar, spare tire/wheel/tools, stereo system, powersteering, power windows, locks, doors etc.

if you are mainly going to drag race, then you don't need any bars, so take them off, but... if you are going to do auto Xing or something of that sort, you MAY want to leave it on...
