Rear suspension off SIR.....What strut to use?????
The rear suspension on my car is supposed to be off an Crx Sir (rear disc). Some people I talked to said to order 91-93 acura integra parts and they will fit. It seems that the crx struts and the 91-93 teg struts don't want to fit as far as I can see. The style I keep ordering has a fork on the bottom with a nut welded to one side. The style on the car has a round loop bottom with a bushing inside. Please help, I already did the front sus. and I have the Skunk2 springs just sitting around waiting for the correct struts. Any help would be extremely useful.....
I had a set of agx for a 1990 crx (all the struts are the same for crx I guess) and they had a fork on bottom without the nut. Since then I returned those, and my new Kyb Gr-2s arrived today for the integra. (KYB does not make agx for the back of old tegs). I am lost. I am going to a import show tommorrow at the fairgrounds hoping to see my buddy with his 12 sec. all motor crx. He should know...
Last time I talked to him ...Type R block, tweaked head with I not sure what cams. I have not talked to him in a while. But I heard he ran a 12.20 a little while ago. This boy can drive though, better than most I have seen. Its a real sleeper, it does not look that fast. I hope to see him Sat. at the show, I need help getting my new poly mount kit in my car so I will ask him.
Did not see my friend with the fast ef, but I did solve the strut problem. Ends up the JDM control arm is different that USDM. Instead of tracking down one of the two rare and expensive struts for the arms, I can just swap them out with USDM Crx arms. God that was simple. It seems that my learning curve is becoming steeper all the time.
