Default what's causing sticky clutch pedal?

what could be causing my clutch pedal to feel "rough or sticky" at the bottom 1" of travel? the clutch engages and disengages just fine. It is roughest when the the car is hot. oh.. it feels the same in all gears and even when it is not running.

id say either the cable is pinched or bent to too much of an angle. either that or maybe a weak/old/broken pressure plate?? maybe just needs some grease on the pedal???
