12:1 compression.

I am currently running the DC Sports JDM 4-1 Header, but thats not good enough.
I imed Dave from Smsp but there is a three month wait,,,,,,,can't wait
Should I go with Toda or spoon....I did a search and cant draw any conclusions

 

If you already have the DC JDM 4-1, why can't you wait? Good things come to those who wait .

I have seen good numbers with toda. i would go for that if you have the money.

 

If you're gonna shell out that kind of money for a header, i'd just wait for it. 3 months isn't that long if you think about it. Are you saying your baby doesn't deserve the best?!

well when my hondata is tuned on march 15, i should easily be hitting 200whp+/130ft/lbs+. If I dont Ill burn the sonbitch down and start from scratch

 

Look into hytech exhausts. Their full system is pricey, but one of the best, if not the best exhaust system for the ITR.

 

isn't JDM dc 4-1 2.5? it makes big different if u get the sms??? how about just port it ???

 

DC JDM 4-1 : SMSP = apples : oranges

Also, if you look at a DC JDM 4-1, you'll notice that there isn't much to "port", unlike the JDM ITR 4-1 which has inner welds at the flange and an anti-reversion piece in the collector which can all be removed.

Hmmm...... we have very similar setups except that you started with a B18 block. I'm looking at the toda or the new T1R power header.

I say go Toda or SMSP. I would just go toda though because I wish they were in my price range.

Larkin, who would order a Type one header right now if R&D (or IPS or A&J) put them back on special for $525

 

They`re all good headers...
Spoon is good, Toda works fine (but clearance ).....
SMSP lets you wait for months, Hytech is $$$...

I think Type one is a good option, it`s a 421 though.

What I would do ?
Keep the DC for another three months until SMSP is ready...

TODA clearance is fine. The Spoon (which I have) is bit lower than stock and it is also a 4-2-1.

 

Is that a NEW Toda header ???
