My 93 civic (bone stoke) makes this horrid screeching sound at just random times. It has nothing to do with the brakes, but the sound does sound like it's coming from the engine area. Could it be the time belt? Does something just need to be lubed up? Please help, this sound is just getting worse and worse and it just sounds horrible!

ehh...

if this happens when you turn....especially when going really slow, then it could be your power steering. perhaps not enough fluid. but yes its a horrid screeching sound for sure;
