Anyone have any info on the OPM motorsports Custom LSD conversion?
http://www.opmmotorsports.com/produc...civic_crx.html
Just look under "Drive Train". Supposidly they mod the stock LSD with a clutch type setup similar to Kaaz. Anyone have any experience or info on these?
Yet another option for me...
- ZC LSD. (Very rare, and expensive. Don't even know if it can handle 400hp)
- Qauife. (will only work with the un-equal length axles of the SI)
- Cusco ZC LSD (about $1175. Clutch type. Tony has told me he had a Cusco LSD break on him in their race car.)
- OPM diff (waiting to get info).
I need something that can take 400Hp, is relatively inexpensive, will use the 90-93 teg equal length axles.
Thanks!
At this point I'm pretty close to saying I'm lost....

I checked out the site, and it sounds like a phantom grip design to me
"The diff is then re-assembled and a spring block is pressed between the spider gears to put pressure on the side gears."

Go over to Honda-Acura.net or CarolinaHondas.com and ask 1stgenCRXer. He has one in his 85 CRX. Pretty sweet car.
The site doesn't allow me to access his email...
I don't really want to join the site, just to get his email...
could you perhaps PM it to me?
Thanks!

Well thats the problem....
I CAN get the Quaife, but I will be forced to use the tiny un-equal length axles of the 88-91 SI.
I don't really want to run those with the power I'm after...

Yep...that's Bryson's dilemna. I think those stock 2nd gen CRX Si axles will surely break with that kind of power, LSD or not.

Can't wait to see your dyno.-Ryan
DSS makes axles for the 88-91 CRX Si. The Stage 3 axles are rated to hold 400 hp, but they cost $1000.

Ask it in the RR/Autocross forum, quite a few of them know of, or have used OPM for various items.
