temp gauge
on my 94 ex the temp gauge dosent always move.... sometimes it gose backwards. other times it will barley move. do u think my thermo is bad. or messed up. the rad fan dose come on. sometimes

You could check to make sure both radiator hoses are flowing coolant after fully warmed up (be care to not burn yourself... use a work glove to touch it quickly). If not both flowing your thermostat could be sticking open or closed.
If not that, I would think the sender unit may be not working right or what not.
I would not think it would be the gauge unless you did some upgrades to the factory gauges recently... if the needles get messed with they dont work right.

well i left out one more thing it only goes down when i have the heat on...but it goes past it normaly dose when the car is off....but when i dont have the heat on it works normal...??..
mine does the exact same thing. I got it pressure tested and they said it was the thermostat. About 2 weeks after that, it started doing it again. When I pop the hood coolant is leaking all over the fan housing, and there is steam comming from 1 specific place at the top of the radiatior, kinda like a jet of air.
