Buffing after new paint job?
I want to know exactly what you guys did to buff out your new paint jobs. I have a couple runs in the clear and have to wet sand.
But I want to know what kind of buffer you guys used, the pad, what kind of products what grit sand paper, wax etc
give me the details
And pics of the final product would be nice

Use a single edge Razorblade and scrape down the run with less than a 90 degree angle. You might want to tape the edges of the blade so that is wont dig into the paint.
after that, you'll need to wet sand using a block and water with 1500-2000+ grit paper. sand just enough until the run is almost gone or not visible.
Now its time to buff. you'll need a rotary buffer for this (not an orbital unless its a DA Type buffer that can adjust speeds)
Use a rubbing compound (I recommend 3M products) And their recommended "cutting" pad. Rub out until smooth.
Now you can either finish with hand glaze or machine glaze with a foam pad.
Notes:
-These procedures should be done by a Professional because you risk burning through the paint with these type of buffing machines and sanding techniques.
-Different products recommend different types of pads so check with the label or supplier first.
-Before Doing anything, make sure that the run is in the clear Only, not the Base Coat. If the run started in the Base Coat, you'll have to sand it off and repaint With Base and Clear.
-If you sand too much and end up seeing a lot of color come out of the water and paper, you'll have to repaint with Base and Clear.
Do not use wax on a fresh paint job until 2 months+ of curing.

btw, I have buffed out 1 car previous to this but it was not base and clear it was single stage

for runs, wait until the paint is fully hardened in that area before wetsanding/buffing.
For cars that have just been painted with no runs, you should wetsand and buff the orange peel about 2-3 days after the car has been painted. This means you shouldnt wait because the clear coat will be too hard to rub out to a nice shine.
