He told me he was sorry for the delay and he would paint the lip for me for free. He was still looking for a BOX.

We emailed back and forth a few times. The lip still not yet painted, I told him "NO RUSH" because I wanted the bodyshop to paint the lip properly. Still no BOX

He notified me the package has been shipped.

I finally received the package. It wasn't packed with a box, which he has been trying to find for 4 months. It was just wrapped with foam. When I opened it, paint crack everywhere on the lip and on the bumpers. Obviously, I need to repaint everything. The lip has scratches all over the bottom (I won't say that is in excellent condition). I saw the crack on the bumper fence and I realized the bumper has been painted Yellow. I can't justify to see that that bumper has been painted only in White and has only been used 1 month as per his discription. Plus, the way he packed the items and the paint on the parts, I do not feel waiting for 4 months really worth my time. So, I emailed him and asked and this is his reply.

the lip used to be painted flat black and had scratches i'm not sure how old it is since it was not the new one i bought yes i originally got it it was cw then my friend put it on his yellow car for a few months then i got it back and i had it painted back to cw

So, obviously, he admitted that it has been painted Yellow and has been installed on another car for a few months (not 1). I went through all these because I thought he is trustworthy and when he said new, the item will appear new. From what I see, I can get a better condition front end for less in toronto.


I think I got screwed, I emailed him to ask why he said "1 month, new condition etc." in the posting. He didn't reply. I asked for his number to discuss, he won't give it me either. Well, if you purchase anything from him, just be aware!!!!

Well, pics don't look too good . It's a shame this has to be aired out in a public forum now. Hopefully he will come out and explain himself. Seems like there is a greater risk than usual when purchasing body parts of that size, so it's probably worth it in the long run to buy such parts from a reputable shop and have them painted by someone you know. Sorry for you "problem."

 

Ouch, is he gonna do anything about it? You probably shouldn't send it back seeing how long it took for you to get it. That is the biggest thing i look at when i order stuff and things go wrong, a quick resolution. Leo @ jdmspecperf.com has been the greatest service by far, he hooked me up when things went wrong

 

i'm sorry the used bumper i sold you was not brand new, neither was the used headlights, used bumper holder, used bumper rebar,used grill, and the used front lip which was black and i had repainted it championship white for you

sorry to hear that and the pic unlimited posted was a joke ...can you make it any further away, you cant see any detail in that pic...just post a note in the classifieds and list your bad experience with him. you guys should work something out and not make this a long drawn out discussion like the last one over a lip that took like 6 pages, got locked, and had people from east and west coasts talking trash for no reason. just my opinion, but the way, i read your original post unlimited and you did shade the truth.

All my transactions on Honda-tech went smoothly.

Man, you got screwed big time.

 

Wow...guess i wasn't the only victim then.

I was the one that bought his car...I'm kinda glad that I personally flew up to canada to pick up the car instead of having him ship the car for me.

I didn't want to give him any hassle thus close the deal w/ him rather quickly and told him that if I need any other paper work, I'll simply give him a call and have him send it to me.

Once I got back to state, my friend saw the car and notice immediately that the car has been repainted. (I wasn't good at telling new paint from old paint so didn't notice this when i picked up the car) Anywayz...since the deal was close, i didn't want to waste my time and make the deal look bad. At this time, I still thought he was a cool guy.

Anywayz...he seemed like a cool guy at first until I asked him to send me the ICBC insurance slip which is required to register the car in state. At first he said he had no idea what insurance slip looks like and that he doesn' thave any other paper wor. So I had to made several trip to DMV looking stupid and was finally able to get a photo copy of the what insurance slip look like. I told him on the phone what the slip looks like and he finally said oh yea...he has that.

He said he sent the slip several time and told me to just keep waiting...two weeks gone by he then said it probably got lost in the mail. And without sending me another one, he went back to Taiwan for summer. I then had to wait 2 months for the slip...which i didn't really complain about since the car was in the shop anywayz.

Finally he came back and agree to get another copy for me from ICBC and send it to me asap. Couple more weeks gone by and still no sign of the slip. I called him again and he said ICBC is gonna charge him $150. I was like no ******* way...so i personally call ICBC and found out that it only cost $12. At this point, I've lost all my patience...and finally realized that he's an *******. He told me that he wants $150 because I was being an ******* calling him no more than twice every week. (Note that I need the slip badly). He said I wasted too much of his valuable time.

Anywayz...i ended up sending him another $50 just so he wont be a dick no more.

That's how our deal went...I'm sorry I didn't let this out earlier cause I didn't want to damage people's reputation on this board unless necessary.

Oh well...guess he's done it again.

 

woah, thats bad, you are talking about registering a car and all. thats serious compared to the bumper thing, no offense, a whole car costs a lot more

When i got my complete front end, the bumper only cost $370 BRAND NEW, OEM HONDA PAINTED CW.

The price itself is a rip.
