Default JDM Ohlins coilovers

Does anybody have any info on JDM ohlins coilovers? I've heard the jdm stuff uses the ohlins name licensed. How much do they usually go for - a set for an eg? Get back ASAP. Thanks.

They are made in Japan under license from Ohlins.

The M&M Ohlins dampers for the EG go for ~$2500 for the damper kit, the springs and upper pillow mounts are ~$360 and ~$440 options respectively.

they have a few options available.. single height adjustable or fully adjustable body.

the last time i priced the fully gazillion ways adjustable ohlins it was $4000.00 for the full setup. i just pick up used sets for my friends everytime i go back now.

From my discussion with the Ohlins rep in Japan last year, I recall him saying that they were no longer producing equipment for eg civic, as it was getting older and less popular there, but they still had a few sets of coilovers around... he even offered me a set at $1000 since they were end of line stuff... stupid bank overdraft... regrets, regrets.

Damn nice guy tho.

Now I'm stuck with Ohlins on the front and Koni on the back... still, that setups working for me, although the Koni are far more aggressive than Ohlins.

I'm pretty sure the PCV series (only type available for EG) are 20-way adjustable.

Are they okay for street use, or primarily for race applications?

It all depends on what settings you run, and what kind of ride you like.

They look like what they call 'gold socks' in japan.
I believe they're just damper adjustable.

gold socks eh ? Sounds like a condom. I think the spring perch is adjustable but then again I know nothing about them. That's just what it looks like. Thanks Can you point me to any other info ? Ohlins site doesn't list or cover the old setups. Thanks

Ohlins is a Swedish company; however, the PCV dampers for Hondas are made in Japan under license...dunno about the Flag S for the AP1 though.

Here is the JDM Ohlins website:
