type r Brake system???
i have a question. do the type r brake systems have dual piston calipers??? and if they do. was it only in the 97-2000 year models or i mean the ones with the 5 lug setup?? the reason im asking is cuz i can get a the 96 jdm type r system and they are the 4 lug setup with that weird offset. and i was wanting to know if i should get it or should i just get a regular gsr brake setup. cuz i know the gsr setup is only single piston setup and if its the same as the jdm 96 type r then i dont want to wast my money thanx guys for any help
single piston.
96 had the 4 lug set up. 97 and on had 5 lug.
98+ had 5 lug

the reason i ask is because there is a post "guess that brake pad" and the guy had posted pix of pads from a type r and from the pix the back of the pads learly show dual piston marks. (2 circles next to each other)
eh? i swear it was 97+ that had 5 lug.

ok my bad. so the usdm and jdm 98 and up type r's had dual piston setup, but the jdm 96 type r had basicall gsr caliper setup with a different offset lug pattern.
so basically theres no advantage of getting a 96 jdm brake setup other than that its jdm right?
