here are some pics of the cars from the GP, Very good, the viewing wasn't the best unless in a stand, worked ourselves into the club section on top of a parking lot for great views, cars were very fast and braked late, overall pefect day for the race, sunny with a cool breeze.

Very nice pics. I just got home from the GP. We were right at turn 10 where most of the yellow-flags were caused... Wish I would've brought my digital camera.
Cool pics, where did you take 'em?

Great pics! In regards to the baking systerm what is that cylinder thigy on the inside of the caliper?? I have never seen that before... What is the purpose of it????

Nate-
That cylinder looks like part of a recirculating fluid system... This allows new fluid to be pumped into the caliper every time the brake is released, increasing the system's capacity for cooling.
This is just a guess... can anyone verify? I know the systems exist, but haven't ever seen it on a Champ Car. Wish I could use that on my ITS Civic!

I paid the $30 general admission fee,
then worked my way into the paddock to talk with the crews, The engines are making around 700 hp, and thats all they guy told me, the pic of the engine, I shouldn't have, they told me basiclyy to **** off when they saw me, I guess Ford is very tight lipped about them.
I just walked the whole course,
I was on top of the parking lot, the club section for most of the race.

Pic of the back of a car.
Those tires are the rain tires, the teams put them on to og through tech at the ned of the race and to move the car around.
There was a huge area with 10 tire machines, walked over and lifted one of the rims for the back wheel, it was so light. It was like one of my text books from school. They were OZ Racing, Forged, I assums magnesium, the guy again wouldn't tell me.

Its so sad how this CART series turn out to be .
Only Ford engine lefted, Only LOLA chassis (Reynard lefted over few), Fedex major
sponsor gone, and bunch of no name drivers lefted ( Good for Tracy!)
Sponsor killed them and gone to Tony George's stupid going around in circle series!

It's not so sad. Watch some races and you'll see that open wheeled road course racing is alive and well. CART prePook make awful decisions but now it's looking pretty good. Just give it some time.
FYI - I'm boycotting IRL and most of the drivers there. T. George sucks the inside of my butt. Friggin' bandwagon jumpers.
