what tuning do you need to do, would a stock p28 ecu help at all, or do i even need to tune it.

does anyone have a new ecu in their accord?

im planning to use a P28 for my accord..
the best ECU around in terms of tuneabilty and chipability...

Doesnt look for EGR, knock sensors...

Im getting some old P06 ecu's and converting them to P28's with different EEPROM programs...

P28's have the essential sensors required for the cars normal operating environment, on the F22/3 and H22/3 they added EGR for reduce emissions and for the VTEC engines they added the knock sensor... (i think ppl call it the secondary butterfiles)

I recently converted a P06 ECU to a P28 (very easy to do) and socketed a eeprom to run various B16A programs. My P13 is running the SPOON program however im getting a CEL for my EGR cause my original F22B didnt have that so the P28 will solve that problem when i can get my hands on a P06...

Good thing as well, you can re-use this ECU if you decide to go hybrid and drop in a H22A

actually secondary butterflies refers to the plates in the intake manifold to switch between the primary and secondary intake runners. the knock sensor is there to actually detect pinging in the combustion chambers as a result of detonation. if the knock sensor signals the ecu, the ecu will retard the timing to correct it.

im sick today, so if anything was wrong, someone please correct me.

a STOCK p28 will not make your car run... configurations are completely different

A STOCK P28 will allow your car to RUN and DRIVE etc... but perfermance wise probably wouldnt be as good as your Accord ECU
