A few quick questions. I have done a search and can't find the answers that I desire. First of all I have noted that there is a difference between the 94-99 4 door GSR and 00-01 4 door GSR exhausts. What modifications are required to modify a 00-01 exhaust and put it onto say a 1996 GSR. Lastly has anyone taken a 2 door GSR exhaust and put it onto a 4 door GSR? I know it is possible I am just curious if the "axle back" portion (the part behind the rear lower control arm with the muffler) is the same on a 2 door as a 4 door.
The reason I ask is I have the opportunity to purchase a 2 door 99 exhaust for my 4 door as well as a 00-01 4 door exhaust. My car is a 1996 4 door GSR fwiw.
Thanks to all and if you can send me a link to a page on the forum where this has been discussed then by all means please do so. I could not find this info. with the search function....

it's a different length.. if you use the two door on a 4 door you end up with the exhaust right under the gas tank.... not so good..... use the four door ...my freind went through the same exact problem, he bought the two door and unless you want to weld/add custom piping... the two door is too short.. good luck man

Only different is the b-pipe/s-pipe on the sedan is 2 inches longer. It will fit fine.
So no the 2dr exhaust is not too short.

i beg to differ. as far as stock exhausts go, the 2dr and 4dr DO differ.
the axle-back portion on the 4 door exhaust is longer. right now i have a '95 sedan. i bought a stock exhaust from a 95 coupe to put on it (it had an aftermarket catback). the b-pipe lengths from the sedan and coupe are the same.
but the piping that bolts onto the b-pipe and goes over the rear axle to the muffler is shorter on the coupe. significantly. right now i have the exhaust on my sedan..the muffler is right next to the gas tank. if i had a digi, i would take a pic now to show.
try to obtain a 4 door axle back section w/muffler. you do not need the b-pipe section.
