I have read all the topics in search. It seems all the sites that explain this installation start with the 90-91 as a base. I have an 89 so I need help on the schematics for the 89, 90-91 as well as the JDM cluster clips so that I can match up the wires. Can anyone help? BTW, are all model 90-91 crx and civics (Si, DX, HF, Std) pinned the sames for the cluster? Same for the 88-89?

have you tried searching for a thread on coverting 88-89 clusters to 90-91 clusters?

i just added a ground for the extra black wire, then went color for color from the stock clips to the jdm ones. the brake light and the ecu light(cel) are backwards, but thats all.

ps: it's a 88 harnes
