Default Dunlop SP9000

Are Dunlop SP9000's good tires for the integra? Have anyone in here bought them?

I used to have them on my Taurus (225/55 16) and they handled very well in the dry weather. The tread wore prety fast though.

Well what do you like better Dunlops or Bridgestone. Have you tried bridgestones.

Thanks.

The Dunlops are an extremely high quality tire, and if you have the means, I would definitely get them.

I have both SP5000's and SP9000's and both have been good tires. The wet and dry handling on both tires is great (for what they are all season and max performance) I'd definitely buy another set of either.

hey,

Yeah I saw the dunlops on tirerack.com for $158 apiece. They are pretty expensive. Do you know anywhere else cheaper?

Thanks.

sorry my mistake, the dunlops are $100 apiece I think. The bridgestones were $158. Still where can you find cheap dunlops.

I got 205/55/15 yokohama avs 100. I like them, they are only $93 from discount tire, includes free rotation balance, road hazard, free mounting. The treading looks sic, almost as good as the kumhos.....i drove at 85mph during heavy rains, felt solid.

It's slightly fatter than the OEM Michelins too, so it looks a little more agressive. They are quieter than the Michelins, plus $50 cheaper per tire go figure.

I had the Sp9000 on the GSR for about 2000 miles until I sold the GSR. I took them to two autox and was very pleased with them and would by again, but I also like to test a verity (sp) of tires.

What do you guys think of the Kumhos?
Thanks

I had the dunlop sp sport 9000's on my integra, by far teh BEST handling tire i've ever ridden on. Just don't expect htem to last when you drive your car hard.

If you can afford them, I would get the Dunlops over the Kumhos. I love my Sp9000s, wet or dry and even in the cold they are still good. Never tried them in snow but I was ok with them in ice!

Im thinking about picking up new tires also.. I went over to america's tire co (aka discount tire) and I was asking about the Falken Azenis and the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. The Falkens ran 350 for the set and the Kumhos were about 380~ or so. The rep over at Americas tire co said that the Falkens are a very aggressive dry tire and the Kumhos were pretty good with road noise. I think im gonna get a set of azenis

=\ sorry I havent heard anything about the dunlop SP9000's but from what people are saying, seems to be a very good tire.

I have them, but I hate them. They're very good for everyday driving in dry or rain. Mine have lasted for nearly 30k miles already with 40% tread left. If you plan to some Auto-X, they're satisfactory at best. Very loud at their limits with a soft sidewall.

So it depends on what you want and how you drive.

For me: Dunlop SP9000's over the 712's any day. My all-season SP4000's felt better than the 712's.

Have you considered the Yokohama Parada Spec2?
Rated better by Tire Rack than the SP9k and about the same price.
I'm a huge fan of the old SP8k, but I think my next set will be the Yoko's

I've had 2 sets of Dunlop SP9000's and if I hadn't crashed my car I'd probably get a 3rd set... I love the handling and for around $100 in 205/45/16 it really isn't bad... thats the cheapest I found..(from tirerack.com)... some local places wanted about $170... so I ordered online instead...

the dunlop SP9000 is great IMO.. you might also want to look into Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position or Bridgestone Potenza RE730's, Yokohama ES100 or Parada Spec II's or Falken Azenis..

Hi,

I was wondering..I still have my stock wheels which are 15". Does that mean I can't get larger tire sizes?

Thanks.

You can put on a 205/50 15 on the 15" Honda wheels....PS- I dont recommend the RE730's - Simply put, not enough straight line/launch grip and mine got REALLY loud after about 10k miles, still with plenty of tread left.

i don't think they make those yoko's in the 195/55/15 or 205/50/15 size.

My roommate got these Dunlop's http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....num=95VR5FM901 and they look very good and ride very well. He has the 18' version but I'm sure the 15's ride good too. Good $$ as well.

Good luck
