I just purchased a D16Z6 with ecu, im getting the harness off blownhatch also, the motor does not include the starter and alternator. Could i use the ones that came on my D16A6 (1991 crx si motor) they are in working condition and i dont really have the cash to go buy new ones.

 

The starter will work. Your alt because of the plug use your old one. The problem you will run into is the belts. The Z6 crank pulley is 4 tooth and the 88-91's are 3 tooth (correct this if I'm wrong) They said you can use the 3 tooth belt on the Z6 crank but mine was to short. I just used the 88-91 pulley, alt, alt bracket and belt. They say that the different crank pulley will cause crank walking, spun main bearing, I dont believe it mine has been to the track numerious times and its daily driven and (knock on wood ) no problems.

 

i could just go and buy a alternator like 160amp for 92-95 and thats it correct?
