have a 97 gsr i know about the shifter rattle and the intake whistle, but every time i start my car in the morning w the radio off i can hear an electric motor humm that will last for 2 or 3 seconds, and sometimes i can hear it come on when im driving but thats rare. i dont know maybe you guys have the same thing, help.

 

The humming sound is the ABS system pressuring up - my GSR does it...I believe its perfectly normal.

 

It is not a problem. It should be your abs system.

cool thanks guys, i was asking a couple other guys cuz they have tegs too and they were not the type that pay attention to detail i guess cuz they didnt know what the hell i was talking about, but thanks.

yup i am in total agreement that hum is ur abs pump pressurizing.. if u wanna be sure.. you can have ur friend start it while u stand by the engine bay with the hood open, and you can check for urself that its comin from the abs unit rite behind the passenger headlamp.

 

yeah thats where i can hear it from when im inside
