Default $1500 budget: Help me design a sound systems for my 95 GSR

Personally I know jack about sound systems cuz i've always been into speed and handling mods for my 95 GSR. I would like to upgrade my sound system, with a new CD/MP3 head unit (with wireless remote), new speakers in place of factory speaker locations, maybe an amp, new wiring etc. I need to keep it within the $1500 range.

Can anyone recommend parts?

Kenwood MP919 - $300 or so (One of the faster MP3 players on the market)
Your choice of components MBQuart / a/d/s / Diamond Audio - $250-300
Image Dynamic Subs 12" - $110-$125
Any amps you have in mind? A good amp should cost you 300-500 dollars. One of the better bang for your buck amps are Crossfires. You can also go with Phoenix Gold or PPI, but they will cost you more.
Get some good RCAs + Cable, that should cost you from $100-$150.

All you need then is to build your own box or go to a stereo shop and have them build the box. You can save a lot of money by running the wires yourself.

How about a Pioneer CD/MP3 head unit, upgraded Infiniti Beta speakers and tweeters, Cerwin Vega 12" subs, wiring, Rockford Fosgate amps, a "cap" (whatever it is)

The only prob w/ pioneer mp3 units is that there is a 2-4 sec inbetween songs, the 7500 is about 350 (i think). Infiniti makes good speakers but if your really looking to spend 1500$ I personally would go w/ diamonds.

In my exp. Vega's hit hard but with low sound quality, there are much better subs out there. RF amps are okey, but very unpopular on this board, thats what I use and I like the quality.

Did you want rear speakers also, or just fronts? The diamonds are nice.

What is wrong with a 2 second pause between mp3's? That is the standard pause between cd tracks anyway.

audiobahnman, you own a TVR Tuscan Got pics?

Alpine 7987 - $400
MBQuart RSC216 - $125
MBQuart DTC169 - $125
Soundstream Rubicon 500.5 or 555 - $310
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D - $150

Total - $1110

These are the prices that you can find from reputable sellers on ebay.
