I was taking my LS motor out for my b16 and when I took my speedometer cable from the transmission I think I lost something! The only thing I see on my cable is the a long bronze/goldish color valve. Isn't there suppose to be some kind of spring on it or it that all it is?

 

There should be a small clib that holds the cable in place to the tranny, you probably had to take that off to pull the cable out...
