i just got some si wheels with no tires that i plan on using for fun. but whats the ideal tire size for them? heres what i've decided on so far:

195-50-15 or 195-55-15 or 205-50-15

i also am looking for the perfect tire size that wont rub in the back of my ek whens its dropped all the way down...anyone have pics of their ek's slammed on 15s and if so.....what tire size are you using?

 

just as a suggestion....if you want your speedometer to read right, go with the 205/50/15's

interesting, how does that throwt he speedo off?

 

if the stock tire is supposed to be a 195/55/15, then a 195/50/15 will make the speedometer read 3.3% too fast. with a 195/50, when the speedo reads 60mph, you'd actually be travelling 58.

with a 205/50/15, when the speedo says 60, you'd be actually travelling at 59mph.

 

For 96-00 Civics, 205/50-15 is the best size because there are about 5x more choices than the stock 195/55-15 size.

my friend had some 15x6.5 and some 205-50-15s on his ek hatch and they rubbed in the back when it was dropped down all the way. i really didn't want to deal with this problem but i think 195-50s might look a tad bit skinny. anyone got pics of their 15s on their car by any chance?

 

195-50-15 will make the Speedo wrong? But 205-50-15 wont? Arent they the same height? Its the width that makes the Speedo wrong?
