I run an optima, and it works great, had it for like 2 years now

If you don't have an aftermarket stereo setup and don't need a large reserve capacity (aka you don't turn off the car and listen to the stereo for a long time) there are some badass racing batteries that offer like 550 cca but are WAY tiny, like half the size of the optima and cost about the same and sometimes less

I have an Optima red top in my 94 lude and it's lighter than your typical battery and rechargable a number of times. I'll be buying another when my truck batt eventually dies.

dope, thx for the replies... and is color optional(did you ask for a red top )? hehe
No, the color is coded to what the battery's use it. Red Tops are your standard style battery, and they have Mini's (which I had to get for my civic, and even it barely fit, but carried around 950 cca's IIRC), and the regular Reds, which are slightly bigger and carry more CCA's. The Yellow are deep cycle, which is good for car audio comp people or ppl who run w/o alternators. They can be deep cycled (drained completely dead and then recharged fully) something like 1000 times. Normal batteries won't do this. The Blue's are the marine line IIRC.
