Default Someone ran me into a curb, damage

I was driving to school this morning, some guy changes lanes right into me - my only choice was to really turn, braking wouldve caused a rear ender, and staying there he would have hit me... my right wheel hit the curb and I started to bouce around everywhere, the tire is fine, but the wheel is all dented up and the ride sucks now

now when I move over 10 mph I hear a whooshing noise, it doesn't look like the tire would be rubbing, also my steering column is outta line, for a straight line it's tilted to the right some... and right turns are VERY easy to take, not so for left turns

car is a 90 civic DX HB
does anyone have a clue what's going on? need help quick, gotta get this fixed!

sorry to hear about your misfortune, I just had to pay some ******* $600. yesterday cause I hit him after some douche bag cut him off, my brakes locked up and cliped his bumber!! I hate BAD DRIVERS

you might have bent the lower control arm, I would just take it to a shop that does alignment, you are deffinitely going to have to get it aligned, they will know exactly what is dammaged...

also, since the wheel is dented up its problably off balance, you might be able to hammer it out, and rebalance it, but you might just want to replace it all together, hammered out rims don't always perform too well, it all depends on how out of shape it is

well the one good part is these are the stock steelies ... one of my only concerns is driving it there, when I take a left turn really hard (like making a U turn) it is VERY easy to turn, do not understand why it is like this, but it's like it just wants to turn itself... the alignment still looks good to my eye (not saying that it's right, but it didnt knock it out too far) ... the steering column is back to normal... don't know how that fixed?

but the camber might be off minorly maybe? the whooshing noise is scaring me, because it gets faster the faster I go...

bad drivers do suck, and one thing that REALLY pisses me off is people that don't check their blindspot... nothing can really get worse than that, a simple turn of the head can do so much

im glad that I just got these tires, they will provide me free wheel balancing for the next year!

your alignment is deffinitely FUBAR, the turning issues confirm that, just take it to the nearest shop, and drive slow. you really cant check alignment by eye you have to get it up on the machine, depending on how fast you were going you may have bent the LCA, again they will be able to tell when they get it on the machine. and just get a new rim, not worth fixing the rim if its stock. just replace it so your performance doesn't suffer... good luck!!

do you have an idea of how much an LCA would cost? I only have $80 lol... I just spent all the money I had on fixing my CV joints and the brand new tires

I am about to run up there and see what they say, and I was going 55 mph - hit it pretty hard, rocked me in the car...

it shouldn't be too much, maybe $50. hit up napa online and look it up, at 55mph I'd say you are most likely looking an LCA, hopefully thats all. I hope karma catches up with this ******* soon. what a DICK!!
