Whats the difference between the 88-91 crx hf, and the crx dx??
Just curious, because i originally wanted the hf, but i mighta found a good deal for the dx, whats the difference between the two?? Is the dx fuel injected?? would it be bad to buy the dx?? thanks
Well the HF is MPFI and the DX is DPFI. So if your planning on doing a swap expect some extra wiring to convert it form DPFI to MPFI not very hard but a bit more work. The HF is also lighter than the DX. What are your plans for it?? You could pick up the DX and do a MPFI swap on it right away that will put you to about the same amount of power as the Si. If your not planning a motor swap I would say get the DX if your going to do a swap then go with the HF it will be less work and headaches in the long run.
All CRX's 88 and up are fuel injected. The HF is the slowest, but also the lightest. A good candidate for a race car provided that you swap the engine
The HF came from the factory with about 70-75 HP. The DX has about 80-85 HP. The HF lacks alot of accessories like rear wiper, A/C, rear cargo covers, etc. that the DX has. Hope this helps.

Not true, my dx does not have AC or a rear wiper. But it did come with a complete rear interior. Also, the HF has a blue interior, my DX has black interior. The DX seats are nicer looking than the HF seats too.

Depending on how hard it is to find a rex in your neck of the woods, I know it is difficult to find one in decent condition where I live. I would go with the HF, I just recently picked up an HF and the Si swap was extremely simple. But it all depends on what you plan to do with it.
