Default steering part question

I remember reading something a long time ago, perhaps on hondaprelude.com before it went under, of a part that was attached to the steering column(?). In the post, it said you could substitute the part from an earlier prelude (?) into a 5G and get faster turning. (turn the wheel less degrees and the car will turn more than stock)

The images below are based on my memory of what I THINK they looked like. The top one is the one from 'an earlier prelude' and the bottom is from the 5gen.

Anyone has any idea what I am talking about, please let me know,(that sounds funny), and if you DO know what I am talking about, is this a mod that is possible, and will it make the car turn faster?

steering rack?

you saying the 4th gens had a shorter steering ratio thant he 5th gens...
you want to the put the wheel that takes fewer turns for lock to lock onto a 5th gen, so steering will be more responsesive?

That sounds exactly like what I remember! Do you think that would be possible? I know there was a discussion about it, again I think it was at hp.com (which seems like it may be revived in some form in the near future). I guess the main questions are, is it viable, and is it something that would improve the feel and handling of the car.

It seems tempting to have to turn the wheel less.
