steering part question

I remember reading something a long time ago, perhaps on hondaprelude.com before it went under, of a part that was attached to the steering column(?). In the post, it said you could substitute the part from an earlier prelude (?) into a 5G and get faster turning. (turn the wheel less degrees and the car will turn more than stock)
The images below are based on my memory of what I THINK they looked like. The top one is the one from 'an earlier prelude' and the bottom is from the 5gen.
Anyone has any idea what I am talking about, please let me know,(that sounds funny), and if you DO know what I am talking about, is this a mod that is possible, and will it make the car turn faster?

steering rack?
you saying the 4th gens had a shorter steering ratio thant he 5th gens...
you want to the put the wheel that takes fewer turns for lock to lock onto a 5th gen, so steering will be more responsesive?

It seems tempting to have to turn the wheel less.
