Default Need some info on the 94 LS Tranny

I picked up a 94 LS Tranny from a friend who got rear ended for cheap. It had a grind on 3rd and it needed a new 5th gear.(btw he gave me the tranny for free)
Anyway i replaced the 3rd and 5th and i looking to put some more work into before i swap out my existing tranny. Im looking to add the ITR final drive and a ITR LSD. Im not sure if those parts will work in a LS Tranny. I did a search and i found a topic about the ITR Final Drive in the LS tranny, and on eperson said and i quote (physically it will fit. although u will need a GSR or ITR diff. LS and SI trannies have a physically smaller differential) Now this i having trouble understanding. When you say differential is that all the gears in the tranny or just a particular piece that needs to be changed. Also i didn't find any topics on putting an ITR LSD in a LS, so im wondering if that works. I hear alot of people talk about KAAZ and Quaife, and i wondering is it really necessary to have one of those, or is the factory ITR LSD just as good. Btw i have an LS and im about 85% sure that i will be boosting in the future. Any insight, ideas, or suggestions will be helpful. Also by BTW im looking for a new clutch and flywheel and i have no idea about which type and what brand to buy. I do know that i don't want one of those super light flywheel's. A friend of mine had it and i had alot of trouble getting into 1st gear with it, without the damn car shutting off.

If you are looking at replacing the final drive gear, and your are looking at replacing the stock diff. w/a LSD you should be fine. I race a rs with the same tranny as your ls and I am planning on doing the same thing. Although if you are going turbo I thought you want the taller gearing? And if that is true save yourself some money and just put in the LSD. KAAZ need to use their gear oil and its expensive but still a good unit. The KAAZ is a clutch type slip so be prepared to rebuild them when the clutches wear out. Quaife nice piece more of a posi then a slip but a very nice piece indeed. Factory helical type slip is very similar to a quaife but does not have as much lock from wheel to wheel a little more slippage if you will. Your driving style and the type of racing you plan on doing is what the big difference will be in your choice of picking one or the other.
