Default crower 404s, valvetrain not yet upgraded. safe to drive to engine shop?

just wondering if i haven't upgraded my valvetrain yet, would it be safe to drive 20 miles to a performance shop to get my springs and retainers installed. with crower 404s and keeping the rpm under 5000k.

You should be fine if you keep the revs down. A lot of people with 403's drive up to reline all the time without valvetrain mods, but the 404's are a little more extreme so just keep the revs down and you should be fine.
