Default Washing rims with Dish Washer fluid!!!! Arrgg

One of my friends wanted to do me a favour, and washed one of my GS-R blade rims. I asked him what he washed it with, he said "Dishwasher Fluid"!!!

Oh man.. I remember reading the user manual or something, and it clearly mentioned that any kind of house hold detergents should not be used? is that true?

Should I rinse it, and it'll be good to go? What harm could it cause? Will it eat up the clear coat?

Thanks in advance,

If you got it off right away, it should be fine. You should rinse it and wash them again with wheel soap or something. Just don't let that dish washer soap sit on them for a long time, that's when it can eat through the clear coat. You should be okay though.

Dishwasher soap removes wax and the clearcoat.

It is only good to use dish soap to remove wax before claybaring.
