what is it with red rims?
not to hate on them....because all the cars i've seen them on so far look very nice. but why must so many people copy off of each other? too much of a good thing makes people start to hate it...

get over it. if you want to be original, drive a Pinto with a chameleon paint job and a ITR 5 lug conversion with dayton wire wheels and a SRR shift ****.

get over it. if you want to be original, drive a Pinto with a chameleon paint job and a ITR 5 lug conversion with dayton wire wheels and a SRR shift ****.

C'mon man, we drive Honda Civics - theres really not much anymore thats original. Someone here decides to put red rims on his car because he looks through some JDM tuner magazine and see cars with red rims over there. It's not originality by him, he just happened to get noticed for it. People realize it looks good, they try it and like it. If people look around on the internet or in Japanese car magazines or watched JGTC, they will see those guys are crazy, have all sorts of different colored rims (including red, so that must not be original).

It's funny, cause red wheels have been around forever, it's just that now more people are getting into them, so people that think JDM is ghey or rice, or whatever they're calling it these days, are hating on them. Remember, Honda-Tech has a lot of members, but there's a whole other world out there, beyond the computer screen, not everyone is going with a particular style just because 5% of HT is.

yea, i'm not bashing JDM parts at all. i have some and will most likely get more. but that fact that some people buy things just because they're JDM is just plain stupid
