Default OT: Remove your power steering in 5 seconds flat

Got a quick and dirty power steering removal job today, courtesy of a wayward X-Terra. The job was quick but the fit and finish could have been better

Oh, and driving without power steering isn't as bad as I thought. Its driving with power steering fluid all over your hands that sucks...

I guess my half-assed try at being cute didn't work. I'll blame it on the concussion

And yes, Joe was Angry today

Since we have 4-6 foot high snowbanks by the roadside, visibility kinda sucks. He was making a left hand turn from a driveway and pulled out in front of me, I had no chance to avoid him and T-boned him between the driver and passenger doors.

No injuries and The situation was non-volatile, I helped him pull off his running board which was stuffed into the wheel well. Spoke to my insurance this afternoon and they think he will be found at fault, assuming his insurance co doesn't try to screw me (naaah, why would they do that? )

Drive safely out there guys, the one thing that really scares me is that it could have been a pedestrian instead

i don't think it took 5 seconds. more like .05. that sucks the big one. and i know what you mean about the snowbanks. can't see a damn thing over them.

But you have to give the fluid time to drain all over the road

Sorry dude. I didn't get what you were saying. At least you're OK and no people got hurt. Could be a lot worse if someone was in the hospital.

Good luck with the insurance co.
