Anybody have a b18c with a DC 4 into 1 header using the billet hasport mounts and have the jimfab cross member. Any header to cross member issues?

You see, that is my setup and my header will not clear jimfab's crossmember. It looks like I have to dent in 1/2" to be able to clear the crossmember. I emailed them and still waiting on a reply but want to see if anybody else ran into this problem and what they did.

Did a search but they only talked about setup with turbos or didn't really mentioned what header they were using with what engine.

 

With your jimfab did you notice any diffterence in traction and handling?

i had the same problem with mine. im runnin a b16 with all type r stuff. i had a dc sports type r 4-1 header but it would not clear at all. the same problem your having. i contacted jim and found out that those crossmembers were made to accomidate a b16 4-1. i switched with a buddy of mine and put his dc sports b16 4-1 header on and it fit like a charm! get in contact with jim, he will help you out.

 

Thanks for the info. Guess I have to get a used 4-2-1 header for the time until I get a turbo.

 

that's weird, my friend has 4-1 with billet hasport mounts and he is using his stock x-member... hmmm....
