Since 1996, JDM ITR's recaro's seat always have the same design right? Only the color difference from year 1999 or 1998 right??

Saw this on ebay, could this be a JDM one or just a Recaro SRD one??

As far as I know, you are correct in saying that the JDM ITR recaros have been the same since 96. I'm pretty sure those are not JDM ITR seats.

I believe the Recaro SRD is the model found in the JDM ITR. It looks like this.

No, the model Recaro found in the JDM ITR since 1996 has always been the SR-II.



No, both the ebay one shown, and the one shown above are USDM Recaro SRD's. The lettering of the word Recaro is different, the seat is a little wider and the material is not Type R mesh/alcantara appointed.

EDIT: No wait, the one pictured on that ebay website appears to be the new Recaro style in the DC5 Integra. Hrm, I'm confused.

Skafia, you were right the first time. the ones on ebay are USDM all cloth SRD's. the new JDM DC5 recaros look identical to the older style DC2 Recaros (the red ones in your pics) except the top is slightly rounded instead of squared off. The logo on the JDM seats is below the seatbelt passthrough, not on the headrest like the USDM, and all bolsters are alcontra suede bolsters with cloth center on JDM seats. the seats on ebay are available for approx 480 bucks without the rails from autooptions and other resellers. they are worth about 1000, maybe, used and 1800 is serious crackrock talking.

If you are looking for SRD's not SR-II's you should see if that group buy on those black w/ red stitching is still available- It was a great deal in my opinion. The contact was Mark @ 248.684.6030 $450 a seat is a great buy!

P.S. SRD's to SR-II's are like aftermarket HID in JDM Conversion to OEM HID JDM Conversion- You make the call..... Oh I have aftermarket HID

 

Those seats are the same style as the DC5

Heavier than stock.

 

Remove the word RECARO and they will be the same weight.
