Default BB Prelude brakes on EG6

I'm about to embark upon putting a set of prelude rotors and calipers on my eg6, but i'm worried about pedal feel...
At present i'm using a 7/8" master cylinder... is this enough, or do I really need that 15/16" or 1" master cylinder? I'd rather not have a squishy brake pedal...

Is there a significant difference in pedal feel?
