Default Dyno of 202WHP from a 1.5L turbo

hello everyone i just dyno'd my car at midnight performance in sacramento...i got the jdm d15b from warren and he did the piping and intercooler...my frist run is what i run on the street about 7 psi yielded about 157hp and 149 tq...which is pretty good when u think type r's make about 160 ish and 120 tq...but since i was on i got a lil carried away and messed with the wastegate and it boost spiked...thats why there was a run that was very low...warren was asking me for the thumbs up to punch it...im in the video saying its not gonna blow lol.....but the 202 was made with about 10psi...with a boost spike in the very begining...the two runs in the 200's are with 10 psi...overall not too shabby from a 1.5 with the only upgrades are fmu 12:1 and a walbro 255lph HP intank fuel pump....the air/fuel was running lean on 10 psi at the top...but for my normal cruise its in the 12's all across....well leave a comment on what u think....to view video copy shortcut to new window..thanks

thats pretty impressive.... I am assuming thats a Vx motor since its Vtec and its a 1.5L.. Those things stock aint got enough torque to open a pickle jar, But this, this is pretty impressive... Good job

Hey man....Nice work....What size turbo is that. I have a Drag kit with T3/T4 on my del sol 1.5. Just the d15b7. It layed down 154 at 7psi. Spools too slow though so im changing over to a smaller T3...heres a pic of the setup....

A JDM D15B-VTEC is essentially a D16 with a smaller stroke..

That is very good. At 7 psi and a lot more money than you spent I only made 180. It goes to show that when someone with a little sense is tuning your car its full potential can be reslized without blowing your money.

Your torque numbers are pretty good too!!

thanks guys for all the compliments....and yes in the land of the rising sun they made this little 1.5l with vtec...not the stage 3 vtec tho...that was on the later....such as the 96 up 4dr civic....the cool thing about this motor is that if i whoop sum1... all i say is its a d15 turbo...2 outta 10 ppl might know what this motor really is...fuel managment is only fuel pump and fmu 12:1...

the turbo kit that was put togther consist of greddy sohc turbo manifold with the TD04-H 15G turbo charger...this isnt a piece together kit its a greddy kit basically without the stock piping...warren just made me new piping to compliment the intercooler....if u look at the wastegate actuator u can see how i rigged it so i can turn up boost by turning the wastegate arm....

i have a hks ssq bov and no exhaust...i was running open downpipe and that **** waas hella loud indoors when we dyno'd it...

would u guys wanna see my friends h22 del sol on the dyno...i have several vids of that....

7 psi yielded about 157hp and 149 tq
202 was made with about 10psi
So you made 45 more whp on a 1.5 with a greddy kit with 3 more psi.

That's a lot of power for 3psi with that setup. Are you sure it didn't spike A LOT more?

It just doesn't add up. Sorry.

yeah it held at 10 psi at about 5k and above with a boost spike of about 13 below that...spiked only for a few secs but its enuff...spiking is sumthing i cant control with this type of setup....but still not too bad lol....my boost gauge read .87 peak boost which is about 12 sumthing....but it did drop back down to 10...

Don't you think that sounds a little far fetched?

15WHP per psi ?

Most b-series guys with efficent turbo kits would love to make that.

hahahh im not making it up i have dyno charts proving it and a reputable shop who actually did the run...even if i had the run at 12 all across still it isnt too bad...but if u ever werked with the greddy kit u would kno it spikes pretty bad for a lil bit than falls down pretty fast...i guarantee it held at 10 psi maybe even 11...but highly doubt 12..but still i was surprised as were the on lookers and owner of the shop...well eg9turbo was there with me and he put down 240+ with a gsr turbo...i have vids of his car too!!!.....i cant help it if u dont believe...but hey i made what i made period.....if u dont believe the specs then i guess u dynod many cars with diferent setups....i just ahve a fmu and fuel pump...o well
