I have gone to the K&N Website and there are like so many different cleaners and degreasers and what not, that i have not a clue to what i need to buy in order to just clean off my filter and drop it back in for another good 2.5k.
Can anyone help me??? Thanks!

Just get the K&N one from your local auto parts store. They should only have one type. How has your filter gotten dirty enough to warrant a cleaning so soon?

 

I installed it in late April, early May of 2002, and i wanted to clean the filter because my car is a piece already, and i want the air she breathes to be as clean as possible. I am trying to extend her life as much as i can. She is a tropper, Bessy that is, and she deserves the best. Dont you Bessy... good girl!

Can anyone please tell me the exact cleaner/kit i would need to clean my filter. Thanks again!

 

I promise if you go to Pep Boys, Advance, Autozone, any of those. It will be the only one there. And I think K&N warns against cleaning filter too often, but you know your car better than anyone else. Sounds like y'all are a little too close.
