Cam and rocker questions
Got the new 2003 GCR and my F Prod 88 CRX is allowed .390 max valve lift. I have no experience with picking cams as all previous classes I've run require stock.
Anyone know what the stock rocker ratio from a CRX head would be so I can figure out how much actual cam lobe I can have? New area for me and I didn't see this I the archives. Anyone with road racing SOHC cam experience with brands or grinds, please speak up.

Hello Lee,
The length of the wiper pads makes the ratios variable, so one can't arbitrarily multiply a "fixed" ratio number times incremental cam lifts to see what's to happen at the valve.
The ratio for B series at max. lift is 1.58.
The ratio for D series motors are 1.65 for the intake and 1.82 for the exhaust.
The ratios for the non-v'tec D series are Intake: 1.56 Exhaust: 1.76

This is why this is my favorite list. You get some hard data and another technical fact that you hadn't even considered. Many thanks.
